Planet Metrics Appoints Tyler Elm and Adam Lowry to Board of Directors

Company Provides Modeling Software to Help Customers Reduce Carbon Emissions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - Planet Metrics, leading provider of Carbon Information Management (CIM) software, today announced the appointment of Tyler Elm, industry leading business sustainability consultant and a principal architect of Wal-Mart's business sustainability strategy and deployment, and Adam Lowry, founder and chief greenskeeper of Method, to the Company's Board of Directors effective today.

Having more than 20 years' experience in the field of sustainability, Tyler Elm applies his approach to sustainable business innovation -- as the world heads into a new economy -- to help organizations understand how to use a new "lens" to incorporate sustainability into the core of the business and as a platform for value creation, growth, and diversification. A well-known industry consultant, Tyler is the Consulting Vice-President of Business Sustainability for Canadian Tire Corporation -- a leading Canadian retailer. Having recently served as one of the principal architects for Wal-Mart's sustainability strategy, Tyler directed the development, implementation, and management of its corporate business strategy to derive economic benefits from improved environmental and social outcomes. Prior to Wal-Mart he developed and implemented Office Depot's global environmental strategy and programs, and was a business sustainability consultant with both IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers Business Sustainability Practices.

Adam Lowry believes that business is our greatest vehicle for positive social and environmental change. This is a vision that forms the nucleus of Method's competitive advantage today. As chief greenskeeper, Adam's focus is bringing sustainable innovations to the method business. He also directs the sustainability aspects of product design, sourcing, and production, and provides strategic input for consumer marketing and the press. Prior to founding Method, Adam worked as a climate scientist at the Carnegie Institution, developing software products for the study of global climate change.
