MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Apr 30, 2014) - What do you get when you bring together a music pioneer and an entrepreneur? In the case of Kryoman and Matt Argall the answer might be -- a new record label. Kryoman appeared in the headlines last week after he made a surprise appearance on the stage of the popular TV show Dancing with the Stars, which is now in its 18th season. Derek Hough, one of the show's dancers who has won DWTS five times, choreographed a routine for his dance troupe "Macy's Dancing with the Stars" to the song "Animals" by Martin Garrix. The dancers impressed with their sharp, machine-like movements, interspersed with classic ballroom elements, but when Kryoman took the stage towards the end of the show, dressed in his signature robot suit, complete with LED lights, smoke guns and pryrotechnic special FX systems, all eyes were on him.
When asked what it was like to be on the DWTS stage, Kryoman enthused, "I have done a fair bit of TV in the past, but tonight it was electric. It had something special about it. It was really, really good." Kryoman has been in the music business for more than 15 years and has become a legend in the electronic music scene. Starting out as a supporting act for the Black Eyed Peas, he now shares the stage with stars like Carl Cox, Nicky Romero, Ryan Marciano and, most recently, with Grammy-award winning artist Akon. The results of this collaboration can be seen on Kryoman's "Aftermovie" from Ultra 2014, a world-renowned music festival that was held in Miami in February, which he released last week.
Matt Argall, meanwhile, is more used to pulling the strings off-stage. Born in California and raised in Canada, Matt has been back in the United States for more than 25 years now and has succeeded as an innovative entrepreneur with a keen eye for new business ideas. Starting out with an online company, he has explored a variety of different industries in the course of his career. His latest business endeavor even brought him to Brazil where he managed to build a customer base of more than 180,000 within no time. While he is still interested in further exploring the South American markets that are experiencing an unexpected growth, Matt likes the idea of focusing on business ideas that are closer to Miami where he lives with his wife and son.
Matt is in good company in the Sunshine State: Andrew Moore, Kryoman's civil name, who is originally from England, also chose Miami as his main residence. Together, the two music enthusiasts are now contemplating launching a new record label. And Miami seems like a good spot for that: Kryoman knows the Florida music scene inside out, while Matt Argall has the business connections, many years of experience and a reputation as a visionary entrepreneur that goes far beyond his home state. With the increasing number of music festivals and an ongoing growth in various music genres from traditional Latin and other Caribbean music to hip hop, experimental electronic music, punk or indie rock, Miami is just the right place to look out for new talent as well as for creating a young and hip customer base. Thanks to the famous party scene, especially the many nightclubs along the boardwalk of Miami Beach, music is an integral part of the "Magic City" and would certainly benefit from a record label that up-and-coming musicians could turn to.
