PlantCML® Introduces Powerful, Next-Generation Management Information System for Emergency Call Centers

TEMECULA, CA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2009) - PlantCML® releases the innovative Management Information System (MIS) solution, Aurora™, to work in tandem with the VESTA® call processing solution. Unlike legacy MIS systems that provide historical reporting capabilities, the Aurora MIS solution is the most comprehensive solution available in the market today that addresses the operational needs of the emergency call center.

The initial release of the Aurora MIS solution includes a near real-time desktop providing supervisors and managers an effective tool for overseeing call-handling activities. It includes an advanced, cross-tabular reporting engine with a number of pre-defined templates that are expandable to thousands of reports. An ad-hoc reporting engine allows for custom report creation to supplement the advanced predefined templates. Reports can be completely customized, saved to a report library and scheduled for automatic distribution via email, all with a few keystrokes.

"The Aurora MIS solution is not just another call-taking MIS package -- it's a powerful new management tool developed specifically to improve call center operations and to help call centers do more with less," said Darrin Reilly, COO, PlantCML. "It allows call centers to associate related events, simplify incident reconstruction, and organize information rapidly. It's a much more efficient reporting tool providing a holistic view of end-to-end call processing operations."

The Aurora MIS solution represents an evergreen platform designed to continuously reset the competitive bar concerning capabilities and expectations of a next-generation MIS solution. It provides advanced reporting that offers data based on user-defined objectives and weighting criteria; converts massive amounts of data into useful decision-making information; and offers greater business efficiency by identifying specific problem areas and providing the analysis of root causes as well as identifying possible solutions.

The Aurora MIS solution is fully operational in a number of public safety emergency call centers, including the third largest call center in the United States and a leader in state-of-the-art public safety technology, Greater Harris County, Texas. It is specifically designed to meet the fast-evolving needs of next-generation mission-critical call centers. Common and advanced uses of the Aurora MIS solution include:

-- Call count for 9-1-1 and administrative calls
-- Ring time reports with user-selectable interval
-- Abandoned call count and call type analysis
-- Abandoned serviced/unserviced list for better prioritization of
    callbacks
-- Custom groups and filtering
-- Scheduled/Shift-based reports

Currently deployed for use with the PlantCML VESTA® call-taking platform, future versions of the Aurora MIS solution will support additional PlantCML call processing solutions, advanced analytical and management capabilities, and diverse data mining operations for multi-vendor environments.
