TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 25, 2005) -

Plasma Executives explain waste to energy solutions to CP24's David Onley and Hamilton Spectator

Media interest in Plasma Environmental Technologies Inc., (TSX VENTURE:PE) is increasing. Plasma President John Wright has recently been interviewed by both CP24 television and the CFO, Alex Falconer, by the Hamilton Spectator.

In an extensive interview on CP24-TV, Plasma Environmental Technologies President John Wright made a strong case for government and business to adopt waste to energy technologies as one of their on-going strategies. During the discussion with CP24 Interviewer David Onley, Wright explained the many compelling benefits arising from the use of waste to energy systems like the company's unique Plasma Assisted Gasifer (PAG). The PAG process converts plastic into electricity. The energy produced can be used by the producer or sold back to the hydro grid.

The PAG unit has been developed with Kinectrics, co-owner of the technology. Kinectrics, formerly a division of Ontario Hydro, is now an independent company formed to help the North American energy sector improve business performance through science and engineering.

"We have an exciting new technology and we are ready to let the world know," said John Wright, President and CEO. "We are now showing that there is an option to pollution and high energy costs."

The Hamilton Spectator article, written by Spec reporter Meredith MacLeod appeared in the paper's July 12th edition. The reporter interviewed Plasma CFO Alex Falconer and clearly presented the company's views on the benefits of a waste to energy solution.

Plasma Environmental Technology visibility in the industrial, financial and governmental communities is growing. The idea that what was considered waste could now become energy will make sense right across the board. This is an idea whose time has come and the world is starting to pay attention.
