Plastic Surgeon in OC Provides Overview of Skin Rejuvenation With CUTERA Lasers

Dr. Daniel Mills, a Plastic Surgeon in Laguna Beach, Highlights Common Skin and Vascular Conditions That Can Be Improved Nonsurgically With CUTERA Laser Treatments

LAGUNA BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 4, 2015) - At the Aesthetic Plastic Surgical Institute, Orange County plastic surgeon Daniel C. Mills, MD and his team are dedicated to employing the most innovative and effective techniques for both surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic enhancement. Included among these state-of-the-art treatment modalities are two CUTERA® laser treatments designed to noninvasively rejuvenate the appearance of one's skin: CUTERA® Excel V™ Laser and CUTERA® Laser Genesis™.

According to Dr. Mills, skin conditions that can be treated with CUTERA® lasers range from tone irregularities and scarring to vascular issues and signs of aging. For example, he notes, the CUTERA® Excel V™ Laser is designed to improve rosacea, age and sun spots, port wine stains, broken capillaries, red papules, spider and varicose veins, and enlarged blood vessels. The CUTERA® Laser Genesis™, he adds, can often diminish the appearance of scars, sun and age spots, wrinkles, rosacea and redness, uneven skin tone, and dilated pores.

Regarding what to expect during and after CUTERA® laser treatments, Dr. Mills says both Excel V™ Laser and Laser Genesis™ procedures can generally be performed in-office in a relatively short amount of time, and most patients experience only mild discomfort. Following treatment, he notes that recovery and downtime typically lasts anywhere from three to seven days, and some bruising, redness, and/or swelling may occur in the targeted areas. Patients should avoid exposure to the sun during this time, the Orange County plastic surgeon adds, and a series of follow-up treatments may be necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

"Ultimately," Dr. Mills states, "these CUTERA® laser treatments can help you achieve clearer, more youthful-looking skin."
