Plateau Partners With 'The Race to Win' to Support Communities In Schools

Summer 2011 Kickoff Date and Race Locations Announced

ARLINGTON, VA and AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - The Race to Win tour will kick off from Austin, Texas on May 2, 2011 from Driveway Austin and conclude at the Plateau Headquarters in Arlington, VA on May 18. Other stops include San Diego, California, Phoenix, Arizona, Atlanta, Georgia and Richmond, Virginia. 

The Race to Win, the cross-country race to raise awareness and money for helping kids stay in school and achieve in life, has added talent management solutions provider Plateau Systems ( as a Gold Sponsor. Plateau's chairman and CEO, Paul Sparta, also joins the Race to Win Patrons Circle as part of a select group of business and community leaders from diverse backgrounds who have demonstrated a philanthropic commitment to improving our education system.

The cross-country motor sport event was launched by the Saxena Foundation ( to raise money and awareness in support of the Communities In Schools ( dropout prevention program. With a fundraising goal of $100,000, The Race to Win will take place in communities and race courses across the country during the summer of 2011. More information is available at

About The Race to Win
The Race to Win is a cross-country charity motorsports event to raise awareness and money for helping kids stay in school and achieve in life. Founded by tech entrepreneur and race car enthusiast, Manoj Saxena the goal of this combination endurance and track race event is to combine his passion for education and racing. 

Consisting of both an endurance race and track races, the event will involve a race-modified Porsche GT3 cup car being driven coast-to-coast and on some of America's best racetracks by Manoj and a co-driver. In the endurance portion, the car will be driven from race track to race track while respecting speed limits and without the benefit of support crews. Race track events will be time trials and competition is for fastest time on the track rather than wheel-to-wheel racing. The race will also make stops at four major cities where middle and high school children from the local Communities In Schools affiliate will participate in various events such as poster sessions and talks on the science of racing as well as a walkthrough and demonstration of the race car. For more information on The Race to Win, please visit
