Plateau's 14th Annual User Conference Showcases Talent Management Leaders and Pioneers, Attracts Global Audience

Customers Including Boston Scientific, Diebold, Genzyme, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, National Science Foundation, Southern Nuclear, Thomson Reuters, and Zions Bancorporation Led Break-Out Sessions; Customer Excellence Awards Recognized Top Talent Projects; Defense Intelligence Agency Highlighted as First Federal Government Agency to Deploy a SaaS Talent Management Solution

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - September 30, 2009) - Plateau Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-class SaaS solutions for talent management, concluded its 14th annual Insights 2009 user conference last week in San Francisco, with HR leaders from more than half of Plateau's global customers organizations attending.

Reflecting this year's theme, "Building Bridges: Leveraging Human Capital to Achieve a High Performing Workforce," Insights 2009 brought together learning and talent management visionaries and industry leaders from across the globe to exchange thoughts, ideas and real-world experiences around how organizations can bridge the talent gap and build effective talent management strategies in their organizations. Featuring keynote presentations delivered by Plateau executives and HR leaders from Plateau customer organizations, breakout sessions led by customers and partners and interactive educational labs, this year's agenda provided attendees with several formal and informal opportunities to meet and interact with Plateau leaders, industry experts and other Plateau users.

Highlights from Insights 2009 included:

-- The release and live demos of Plateau Talent Gateway, the first talent management solution to fuse a complete talent profile with a social networking and portal platform, linked directly to a talent management suite. This thoughtful, innovative offering brings the best of social networking, portal and Web 2.0 technologies together in a single solution to facilitate organizational collaboration, knowledge-sharing and learning activities and provides 80 drag-and-drop tools including blogs, Wikis, discussion groups, digital asset libraries, expert location and RSS feeds -- made available through configurable, standards-based (JSR 286) portlets.

-- Customer keynote presentations from Colleen Corey, Corporate Human Resources Director at Bio-Rad Laboratories; Jim Marchiori, Director of Organization Capability, Learning & Development, Organization Change Management at DCP Midstream; and Brian Hayer, e-Learning Manager at Rolls-Royce. Colleen Corey's presentation focused on Bio-Rad Laboratories' use of Plateau's full suite of Talent Management solutions in developing its next generation of leaders. Jim Marchiori discussed how DCP Midstream is leveraging Plateau's Talent Management Suite to manage mandatory compliance training and career development training, while also linking performance with compensation -- all of which are critical to the organization's mission of developing employees to reach career goals and empowering them to manage their professional growth. Brian Hayer presented real-world best practices for delivering a global, on-time/on-budget implementation of Plateau, based on Rolls-Royce's experience and success in deploying Plateau's solutions across 60 countries.

-- Plateau conducted an invitation-only Analyst Day, a one-day event in which leading industry and financial analysts and Plateau executives met to discuss Plateau's latest product release, Plateau Talent Gateway; exchange thoughts and insights around the evolution of the talent management market and the recent consolidation; and debate the definitions as well as the pros and cons of software-as-a-service and "the cloud." More than 15 well-known talent management experts and financial analysts attended this event.

This year's Insights conference featured Plateau's Sixth Annual Customer Excellence Awards, recognizing customers who have demonstrated innovation and success in leveraging Plateau's software to address their talent management challenges. Final winners were selected from a competitive field by their peers and announced at the Insights Evening Gala, held at the San Francisco Exploratorium. This year's Customer Excellence Awards winners include:
