Violin Memory's Service and Support Assure Customers They Will Achieve Their Business and Technology Objectives With Flash Storage Platform (FSP) Solutions

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - September 14, 2016) - Violin Memory®, Inc., (NYSE: VMEM) a global pioneer of award-winning all flash storage platform solutions for primary storage and active workloads, today affirmed its customer first approach to all flash storage solutions for enterprise data centers by announcing a new Platinum level support option for Flash Storage Platform™ (FSP) and Violin Customer First Guarantees. Both are available with all FSP solutions, including the new FSP 7650 and 7450 all flash arrays leverage the industry's only all flash storage platform that includes a full suite of tightly integrated data services, across all arrays, in a single native operating system, giving Violin Memory industry leadership in the combination of ultra-low latency, affordability, density, scalability, and performance.

Platinum Support Service
Violin Memory's new Platinum Support Service offers customers a more personalized and proactive support experience for their mission critical data center environment.

Platinum Support Service builds on Violin's enterprise class Gold Support Service, which provides customers peace of mind that any incidents will be effectively resolved with Violin experts around the clock. Violin will have a trained technician onsite within four hours to replace any part. Tapping into Violin's CallHome technology, Violin Support watches over customer critical storage infrastructure with event notification and proactive case creation.

Platinum Support also helps customers keep their storage arrays highly optimized to prevent issues occurring. Recognizing the Flash Storage Platform is designed for the most business critical environments, Platinum Support enables customers to get the most value out of their investment through assigned experts and proactive planning.

Customers have a direct line into support staff for expert level troubleshooting to effectively resolve any issues. Violin performs comprehensive health checks twice a year and implements recommendations to keep the array running in optimum condition. Customers are assigned a Service Account Manager to guide best practices and plan upgrades.

Customer First Guarantees
Violin customers that choose the Platinum or Gold level premium support package for their FSP solutions will now benefit from five new service level assurances, called the "Violin Customer First Guarantees."

  1. EFFECTIVE CAPACITY GUARANTEE: Assures Violin customers that take advantage of FSP data reduction technologies achieve the effective capacity ratio promised for their workloads.
  2. HIGH AVAILABILITY GUARANTEE: Assures Violin customers using the FSP 7700 with Stretch Cluster will achieve 99.9999% (six 9's) uptime, virtually eliminating storage access interruptions and unplanned downtime.
  3. SERVICE PRICING GUARANTEE: Assures Violin customers their pricing will not increase when they choose to renew support agreements for FSP solutions.
  4. FLASH ENDURANCE GUARANTEE: Assures Violin customers will have flash memory available during the usable life of their FSP solution, with Violin providing flash modules if they wear out.
  5. SCALABLE CAPACITY GUARANTEE: Assures Violin customers they can purchase capacity as it is consumed, with capacity appearing instantly and non-disruptively, over the life of their FSP solution.
