Players Network Announces New Appointment to Executive Team
LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - April 15, 2009) - Players Network (OTCBB: PNTV), the leading
Digital Media 3-Screen Network dedicated to Las Vegas Entertainment and the
Gaming Lifestyle, announces today the appointment of Jenna Bodnar to their
executive team as Players Network's Director of Business Affairs.
Bodnar's role in Players Network is to be focused on financial development,
including locating affiliates, creating new revenue structures, and
expanding sponsorships to include national and regional brands.
Bodnar has an extensive media and legal background, making her uniquely
qualified to structure both production and business opportunities in a
fiscally sound manner, while maintaining creative integrity.
Bodnar's media experience includes seven years of experience in major film
and television markets, such as HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, and Playboy, as
on-camera talent, and later worked as an assistant producer, producer, and
director for various independent and televised programs. Additionally,
Bodnar is an award-winning photographer published in national and
international magazines for over a decade.
Graduating Cum Laude with a B.A. degree from UNLV in Mass Communications,
with emphasis in broadcast journalism and advertising, Bodnar has used her
skills in the media arena, as well as the private sector, developing and
marketing start-up companies for individual investors.
In the legal realm, Bodnar earned her Juris Doctorate at the William S.
Boyd School of Law, UNLV, and worked in a multitude of legal and corporate
environments, handling contracts, research, and negotiations. Through her
work in the civil rights arena, Bodnar's work has been cited in a landmark
Massachusetts Supreme Court decision and published in print news media; she
has also been interviewed on syndicated radio as a legal expert in this
field.
"Ms. Bodnar's appointment to Director of Business Affairs was based upon
her commitment she has shown in a consulting capacity," explains Mark
Bradley, CEO. "For the past six months, Bodnar has located and created new
revenue streams to be launched with our new video on-demand web platforms."
Bodnar's legal, media, and marketing background complements the already
established team of Co-founders, Michael Berk and Mark Bradley.
Berk is a well-known writer, producer and director with over three hundred
hours of television production to his credit. He created and Executive
Produced "Baywatch," which The Guiness Book of World Records cites as the
most watched international TV show, with over 1.1 billion viewers. Berk is
currently producing a large-budget "Baywatch" feature film for DreamWorks.
He wrote and produced the first three-hour movie ever made for television,
"The Incredible Journey of Dr. Meg Laurel," the highest-rated movie of the
year, averaging a 42 share over three hours, "The Ordeal of Dr Mudd,"
another three-hour movie that received a Golden Globe Nomination as Best
Picture and two Emmy Awards, "The Haunting Passion," winner of the Venice
Film Festival Award, "The Last Song," recipient of the Edgar Allan Poe
Award for Mystery Writing, and a dozen other movies.
Bradley has been a producer/director at United Artists, and was studio
manager and postproduction supervisor with United Cable Television in Los
Angeles. In this capacity he engaged in the production, packaging and
syndication of television and film productions for such media venues as
HBO, Nickelodeon, Prime Ticket and MTV. As an independent
producer/director, Bradley created and promoted live pay-per-view events,
negotiated entertainment programming distribution deals, budgeted and
packaged TV programming. In 1985, Bradley created the Real Estate Broadcast
Network, which was credited as being the first 24-hour real estate channel.
