According to Survey, Consumers Spend More Time Shopping Than With Friends and Family During the Holidays, Yet Want More Time for One-on-One Connections

BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwire - December 7, 2010) - The holidays may be the most important time to reconnect with loved ones -- yet Americans spend more time shopping for gifts than connecting with loved ones, according to a recent survey1 conducted by independent market research firm Toluna and leading U.S. cordless phone manufacturer VTech® Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of VTech Holdings Ltd. The survey showed that the majority of women (51 percent) placed shopping at the top of their to-do lists, over spending time with loved ones. Additionally, 30 percent of all respondents felt they had not devoted enough time during recent holidays for friends and extended family.
