Plexxi Named a 2014 Gartner Cool Vendor in Enterprise Communications

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 30, 2014) - Plexxi, Inc., creator of the industry's first affinity-driven networking solution, today announced it was named a "Cool Vendor" in Gartner's 2014 Cool Vendors in Enterprise Communication Strategies report for its programmable and self-optimizing data center network switching solution.

Gartner defines "cool" as "the ability to help customers address challenges in new and innovative ways." Plexxi is one of only four vendors recognized in this category, alongside Cumulus Networks, Nuage Networks and Pica8.

"It's a privilege to be recognized by Gartner as a 'cool' vendor at a time when so many other networking companies are trying to stand out," said David Husak, CEO of Plexxi. "There's no end date to innovation and we're constantly looking to test and improve Plexxi's product offering. The goal is to get IT decision makers to think differently about the network and Plexxi's application-oriented, photonic-switching-driven approach does just that."
