Oil and Gas Exploration and Resource Players Convene for a Day of Prospecting and Networking


HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 11, 2013) - Oil and gas buyers, capital providers and explorers will be in Denver Thursday, April 18 at the Sheraton Downtown looking over the industry's latest oil and gas offerings and hearing from experts on the upstream market. On tap for buyers are projects, prospects and properties in some of the hottest oil and gas plays including the Bakken Shale, Three Forks, Niobrara, Wolfcamp, Bone Springs, and Mississippi Lime. Besides resource plays, PLS has also brought together sellers with conventional properties and prospects in the Rockies, Mid-Continent and Permian Basin regions.

On a region basis, Cameron Mineral Trusts is offering multiple acreage packages in east and southeast Texas (James Lime, Travis Peak, Haynesville/Bossier, Eagle Ford) and West Texas (San Andres). Capitan Energy also has acreage packages in West Texas targeting the Wolfcamp and Bone Spring.

Farther north, US Energy Development is showing a prospect in the Fort Worth basin while DDD Exploration offers a Dalhart Basin prospect in the Panhandle.

Kansas prospects and leases targeting the Mississippi Lime and other formations are being shown by Energy Investment Partners, RedHawk Resources LLC and H Huffman & Co., while Prolific Petroleum is offering a prospect in central Michigan. A number of companies have prospects for sale in Nebraska including Deep Creek Resources (Basal Wolfcamp), SH Nebraska LLC (DJ Basin), Energy Investment Partners (DJ Basin), Prolific Petroleum (Virgil formation), Nebraska Alliance Resources LLC (Pennsylvanian shales and carbonates) and Advantage Resources (Cambridge Arch).

Moving to the Rockies, multiple prospects are being presented in Colorado by Preferred Oil & Gas Properties (Niobrara/Codell), White Eagle Exploration (Niobrara), Koch Exploration (Niobrara, Mowry and Tensleep), Prolific Petroleum (Niobrara), Laramie Energy II LLC (northern Piceance Basin), H Huffman & Co. (Las Animas Arch) and Energy Investment Partners (Las Animas Arch). And up in Wyoming offers will be taken by Koch Exploration (Niobrara, Mowry, and Tensleep), Centennial Energy (Big Horn Basin prospect and Centennial field property), Samson Oil & Gas Ltd. (DJ Basin prospect), G&H Production (Powder River Basin prospect), Red River Oil & Gas (shallow Powder River Basin prospect) and David Pedry Petroleum Exploration (Jurassic Nugget prospect). Two additional Rockies projects are being shown by Thomasson Partner Associates (Cretaceous sand bar and Niobrara).

In the Williston Basin, Bakken/Three Forks prospects are being offered in North Dakota and Montana by Cody Oil & Gas and Prolific Petroleum as well as a Midale prospect from Flatirons Resources LLC while White Eagle Exploration is showing a Shannon prospect in South Dakota. Cody Oil & Gas is also offering a prospect in the central Montana trough while farther west in the state Deep Creek Resources is showing a prospect in the emerging Alberta Bakken.

In Utah's Uinta and Paradox Basins prospects are available from Titan Energy Resources, Rockies Standard Oil, Paradox Group, and Hewitt B Fox Inc. Titan Energy Resources also has a Diamond Peak prospect for sale in neighboring Nevada. Finally, Arctic Falcon Exploration is offering a prospect targeting the Grandstand formation on Alaska's North Slope.

Among the packages being shown at Dealmakers are many being marketed by PLS. Colorado packages for sale include 16,000 net acres in Southern D-J Basin (Adams & Arapahoe Cos.); ~29,000 net acres in the Niobrara Shale (Douglas, Elbert & El Paso Cos.); ~2,880 net acres in the D-J Basin (Weld & Morgan Cos.); and ~8,000 net acres in emerging oil plays in Kiowa & Prowers Counties.

Montana opportunities marketed by PLS consist of 35,200 gross acres in Chouteau Co.; 5,200 net acres in the Bakken in Sheridan & Roosevelt Cos.; 21,000 net acres of undeveloped mineral rights in the Williston Basin's West Poplar Dome, Roosevelt Co.; 34,000 contiguous net acres with multi-play potential in the Sunburst, Madison & Bow Island formations (Toole Co., operated by Robinson Oil); and a ready-to-drill prospect consisting of ~1,500 net Bakken and Three Forks acres in Sheridan & Roosevelt Cos.

PLS is also marketing North Dakota packages that include a non-op stake in ~1,000 Bakken acres in McKenzie Co. operated by Zavanna & Slawson and ~1,775 ready-to-drill net acres in Divide Co.

In Utah/Wyoming, PLS is marketing ~90,000 net acres in Rich & Summit Cos., UT and Uinta Co., WY currently drilling shallow targets.

Finally, PLS is marketing ~17,000 net acres in Kentucky's Illinois Basin Tar Sands (Butler & Warren Cos.) for outright purchase or JV.
