PLS Presents Inaugural Midland DEALMAKERS™ Prospect and Property Expo

Permian Basin Oil and Gas Expo This Wednesday -- February 26 -- Focuses on Sales and Financing

MIDLAND, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2014) -  PLS Inc., one of the energy industry's leading information, marketing and advisory firms, today announced that its first-ever DEALMAKERS™ Expo in Midland, Texas is taking place this Wednesday, February 26. With M&A activity continuing to fire up in the Permian Basin, the time was right to add Midland to PLS's schedule of industry-leading buyer-seller expos. PLS has a strong clientele in this extremely active region and demand has been high for a Permian Basin oil expo. This power-packed, one-day prospect and property expo starts with breakfast at 8:00 am at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena, 2514 Arena Trail, Midland.

DEALMAKERS is open only to buyers, sellers and capital providers, making it the oil and gas industry's purest exchange for buying and selling prospects and properties while also funding development projects. The day-long oil show also provides ample time and opportunity for the oil, gas and financial communities to network with a noon luncheon and 3:00 pm cocktail reception.

Permian deals will be heavily featured at the show, but about three-quarters of the attendance is expected to come from outside of Midland. Likewise, as in all DEALMAKERS expos, prospect and property offerings will be shown from other oil centers including the Gulf Coast, Rockies, North Texas, East Texas and Appalachia. PLS also expects new plays like the Oklahoma SCOOP area to be on display with other wildcat opportunities from Nevada and California. In Midland this week, the preliminary breakdown of properties and prospects is as follows (final breakdown numbers at expo time will be larger):

Of course, Permian deals will be abundant at the show including an operated Grayburg waterflood project in Lea County, New Mexico (100% WI); a Cline shale development opportunity in the Midland Basin; and a multi-pay horizontal prospect including the Avalon and Barnett shales in the Texas part of the Delaware Basin (100% WI).

Midcontinent offerings on exhibit include a 65,000-acre Kansas leasehold targeting Mississippi Lime, Kansas City and Lansing oil (100% WI); a 25,000-acre North Texas position targeting Pennsylvanian and Mississippian oil objectives; and a non-operated Oklahoma oil-producing property with Mississippi Lime upside.

Deals for sale in the Gulf Coast and South Texas include an Eagle Ford development project in Dimmit County, Texas (100% WI); an Austin Chalk producing property with immediate upside in Gonzales County, Texas (100% WI); and a Webb County royalty interest with significant infill potential.

Exhibited Ark-La-Tex opportunities include a Woodbine producing property at Navarro Crossing (100% WI) and an 8,200-acre Brown Dense development project in Union Parish, Louisiana.

Also on the market will be several Rockies opportunities including a 42,000-acre leasehold targeting Cherokee, Marmaton and Atoka oil in eastern Colorado (100% WI); a 19,000-acre operated Sandwash Niobrara development opportunity in northwest Colorado; and a Bakken non-operated production package with net output of nearly 600 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
