Plumas Bank Helps Dahlstrom & Watt Bulb Farms, Inc. Grow

QUINCY, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 21, 2011) - Plumas Bank, a subsidiary of Plumas Bancorp (NASDAQ: PLBC), helped one of the largest lily bulb growers in the world continue to grow. Owned by Rob and Kara Miller, Dahlstrom & Watt Bulb Farms, Inc. is a 40 acre nursery producing holiday flowering plants, hydrangeas and specialty plants. The corporation was established in 1959 and is located in Smith River, California, known as the Easter Lily Capital of the World.

"Our work is a story as old as time -- with a twist," commented Rob. He explained, "Planting, growing and harvesting -- the age-old cycle of farming -- has several unique twists here in the fine beach lands that front the Pacific Ocean. One of the most striking things about the Easter lily is the length of time that the bulb spends underground. For well over one thousand days the bulb sees little daylight. The bulb's life underground is hardly undisturbed however. During that three year time frame, the Easter Lily bulb is cultivated, harvested three times, sorted three times, cleaned three times and replanted three times. Not unlike the season it represents, the Easter Lily is reborn to live again."

Kara added, "We're certainly pleased that working with Plumas Bank and getting results doesn't have to take that long! We were able to get a line of credit and a SBA 7a loan within 45 days. It was a pleasure working with the knowledgeable Redding branch loan manager and the Plumas Bank SBA lending group. Living six hours away from the Redding branch is never a problem either with Plumas Bank's Remote Deposit. We're able to scan and submit our clients' checks electronically from the comfort of our office right here in Smith River. The result is faster deposits, more efficient collections, and a tremendous convenience for our business!"

Accessible only by a narrow and winding coastal highway banked by magnificent Redwood forests, overlooking the spectacularly scenic Pacific Ocean, it seems only fitting that the symbolic flower of Easter, which adds beauty, grace and fragrance to millions of homes, businesses and churches, has its roots in such a pristine and beautiful corner of the world.

"Plumas Bank reached out to our corner of the world and was able to help. It really made a difference to our business," concluded Rob.
