Plutonic Power Corporation: Media Advisory; Alternative Energy Industry Expert To Comment on BC Government's Energy Plan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 26, 2007) - Donald McInnes, President of Plutonic Power Corporation (TSX VENTURE:PCC), a leading developer of emission-free green energy produced from run-of-river hydro plants, will be available for media interviews to offer the alternative energy industry's perspective on the BC government's energy plan which will be released on Tuesday, February 27.

Plutonic Power Corporation is an emerging renewable energy producer in British Columbia. The Company was the largest winner in BC Hydro's 2006 call for tender of power purchase agreements. Plutonic is planning to start construction this spring on its 196 MW East Toba River and Montrose Creek run-of-river project located at the headwaters of the Toba Inlet north of Powell River, BC and the 16.5 MW Rainy River Project, located in Howe Sound, later in the year. These projects have estimated capital costs of $600 million, representing the largest private sector renewable energy investment in British Columbia and will create approximately 300 full-time jobs over a three-year construction period.

Plutonic's proposed 22 run of river projects have a design capacity of over 1100 MW and the potential to generate approximately 3500 GW.h per annum of green energy, enough energy to meet the annual energy needs of approximately 350,000 homes. Included in the 22 projects is the creation of the Green Power Corridor, a series of non-storage hydroelectric projects in southwestern BC, which hold the potential to catapult British Columbia to the forefront of green energy generation in North America. The completion of the Green Power Corridor would create over 3,000 person-years of employment.

Plutonic is committed to continuously work with First Nations, stakeholder groups and local communities in the development of its run of river projects.
