Plymouth Rock Assurance Appoints Insurance Industry Veteran Gary Sjolin as Chief of Agency Marketing

Addition to Leading Auto Insurance Provider's Executive Team Advances Commitment to Independent Agents

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) - Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, a leading New England auto insurance company, today announced that Gary Sjolin has been selected as the organization's new Chief Agency Officer. Sjolin, who officially joined Plymouth Rock Assurance on January 18 from RSC Solutions/Lexington Insurance, will lead Plymouth Rock's agency relations, sales and field management efforts in Massachusetts.

Sjolin comes to Plymouth Rock with more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, he served as National Director of Sales and Marketing at RSC Solutions/Lexington Insurance, where he oversaw all sales and marketing efforts for their $300 million national mid-market platform. Previously, Sjolin served as Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing for Arbella Insurance Group, holding key leadership roles in Sales and Marketing, successfully driving strategy and working closely with more than 400 Massachusetts independent agents. Through his prior leadership positions, Sjolin showcased his ability to develop and execute strategic plans designed to enhance agency growth.
