PocketGear Announces Three Key Additions to Management Team

Industry Veterans Strengthen Sales, Marketing and Product Leadership

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  PocketGear, Inc., the world's largest open app store and mobile content marketplace, today announced the addition of three new experienced leaders to the company's executive team. The new hires are Ken Hayes, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development, Dov Cohn, Vice President, Products and Marketing, and Jim Harvey, Vice President, Developer Stores. The three new team members round out the senior leadership team with deep operational and strategic experience in the wireless and mobile content industry.

Ken Hayes brings 18 years of sales and mobile experience to PocketGear in the role of Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development. Ken will oversee global sales operations, expanding the company's sales organization into Latin America, Europe and Asia. Most recently, Ken was a Venture Partner at Acta Wireless. Prior to Acta Wireless, Ken was EVP of Carrier Relations for Thumbplay, a leading direct to consumer mobile content provider, and SVP, Global Sales for Motricity, closing multiple deals with domestic and international Tier 1 mobile operators.

Dov Cohn joins the team as Vice President, Products and Marketing. Dov most recently served as VP of Marketing and Product Management at Zoove, a mobile direct response marketing network based in Palo Alto, CA. From 2000 to 2007, Dov was VP, Product Management and Marketing at Motricity, where he led the design and delivery of the Fuel Mobile Application Platform, which has since delivered over $3 billion of mobile content. Dov's deep product management and marketing background, including 10 years of experience in the mobile content industry, make him well suited to his role at PocketGear where he is responsible for corporate marketing, and product strategy and planning.

Jim Harvey will focus on expanding PocketGear's relationships with mobile content providers and developers, serving as Vice President, Developer Stores. Jim will drive PocketGear's Developer Stores strategy and sales efforts, working with developers to make it easier to market and sell their products directly using the PocketGear commerce infrastructure. Jim previously served as VP, Content and Business Development at Motricity and was responsible for the company's global content strategy and developer programs from 2000 to 2008. Jim was most recently VP, Client Strategy at Brooks Bell Interactive.

"I'm thrilled to have the chance to work again with Ken, Dov and Jim," said Jud Bowman, President and CEO of PocketGear.
