Podio Connects to Box for Cloud Content Management and Collaboration Nirvana

New Integration Brings Files from Box Into Podio Workspaces for Smarter Project Management and Collaboration

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 29, 2012) - Podio, the work platform where anyone can create apps to get their job done, today announced an integration with Box. Box for Podio connects the power of Box's secure content sharing platform with Podio's app-driven work platform, empowering people across the world to work the way they want to.

Box for Podio will enable Podio users to share documents and files stored on Box from within Podio, attached to Podio tasks, apps, workspaces and messages; connecting Box content with their entire Podio workflow. With this integration, users can:

  • Enable single sign-on to access Box within Podio
  • Access their Box files within Podio to enable content collaboration within Podio workflows
  • Attach files and generate shared links from Box anywhere on Podio

"It's exciting to see how open platforms can create innovation in enterprise software," said Chris Yeh, VP of platform at Box. "Box and Podio share the philosophy that managing your content and collaborating with peers should be a simple, efficient experience, and one that powers a smarter way to work."

Joint Podio-Box customer CGA Enterprise Solutions, a business software solutions provider, recently became a fully virtual team, selling its office space and moving all business processes to the cloud.

"Last November, we went paperless by adding all our company documents to Box. Then we started using Podio to build our own apps, manage our team and collaborate in a social, cloud-based environment," said Tony Marturano, CEO of CGA. "We've been anticipating this integration as the holy-grail of productivity. Connecting Box and Podio is a serious game-changer for our business and completes our vision to revolutionize the way we work."

In addition to its integration with Box, Podio's existing platform integrations include Campaign Monitor, Evernote, FreshBooks, Instapaper, Zendesk, Google Alerts, Google Apps and Google Docs.
