Poplar Creek Resources Inc. Announces Additional Director and Grant of Options

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 8, 2010) -


Poplar Creek Resources Inc. (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:PCK), "PCK" on the TSX Venture Exchange, is pleased to announce that, subject to Exchange approval, Mr. Colin Cook of Calgary, Alberta has been appointed a director of the Corporation. Mr. Cook started his career as an economist with the Federal Government joining Petro Canada when it was formed and held various management responsibilities including Vice-President of Petro Canada Oil Sands Inc. and Vice-President of Fort Hill Energy Corporation, when he retired in 2009.

The Board of Directors has approved the issuance of 1,845,000 options to directors, officers and consultants exercisable for a 5 year term at $0.10 each. The Corporation has 38,791,261 issued and outstanding common shares.
