POPSUGAR and Ford Warriors in Pink® Launch Inspirational Video Series, "In Her World" Honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Series Features Prominent Women Sharing Their Stories of Successes, Challenges, and Inspiration

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 1, 2013) - POPSUGAR Inc., a global media and technology company at the intersection of content and commerce, today announced a new inspirational editorial video series coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. POPSUGAR partnered with Ford Warriors in Pink, the Ford Motor Company program that raises awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer, to launch "In Her World," a candid look at the situations and people that have shaped some of today's most inspirational women.

Consisting of eight to 10 minute one-on-one interviews, POPSUGAR Entertainment editor, Lindsay Miller, will interview TV and film actress Kat Dennings and her best friend, Rodene Jones, Olympic Gold sprinter, Carmelita Jeter and Coolhaus Creamery owner, Natasha Case among other notable women. The series takes an intimate look inside the lives of these women to get an idea of what challenges and inspires them. It illuminates key aspects of their passions, successes, and personalities -- including those directly affected by breast cancer.

Former model turned actor Gilles Marini, who has appeared on television in "Dancing with the Stars" and "Switched at Birth," is interviewed in a special Ford Warriors in Pink segment. After losing his father to cancer at a young age and watching his sister-in-law battle breast cancer, Gilles is passionate about supporting the cause and the fight for a cure.

This year marks the 19th year of support in the fight against breast cancer for The Ford Warriors in Pink® campaign. The 365-day-a-year program encourages women and men to become informed and visit their doctors, and educating them about how early detection saves lives. Ford's support includes its annual, limited-edition Warriors in Pink collection of apparel and accessory items for women, men and children. Each item features important symbols signifying a message of hope, strength and unity in the commitment to fight breast cancer. The collection is available at www.fordcares.com, with 100 percent of net proceeds going directly to the fight against breast cancer. To date, Ford has dedicated more than $120 million to the cause.
