Port City Web Selected to Integrate Baker & Taylor Database Feed With Website for Wonder Book and Video of Washington, D.C.

PORTSMOUTH, NH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 19, 2007 -- Port City Web, LLC (, an award-winning, full-service website and eCommerce design, development, hosting and online marketing company, today announced that it has been selected by Wonder Book and Video of Washington, D.C., to integrate their current eCommerce website with Baker & Taylor, the leading distributor of books, music, DVDs and video games worldwide.

Wonder Book and Video first engaged Port City Web in late 2005 to develop a new eCommerce website, including a new design, to sell used books online that are also available in the company's retail locations. In early 2006 the new website was launched with 500,000 used books for sale online. With the success of the new eCommerce website, Wonder Book engaged Port City Web to integrate their eCommerce website with Baker & Taylor to offer new books for sale online. Baker & Taylor, one of the largest wholesale book distributors to retail book stores, currently has over 600,000 books in inventory. The addition of Baker & Taylor's database of books will enable Wonder Book and Video to sell over 1 million new and used books on their website.

"Port City Web has proven that they can deliver a successful eCommerce website, on time and on budget," said Clark Kline of Wonder Book and Video. "We have had a respectable first year of online sales with the website that Port City Web developed for us. After the addition of more than 600,000 new books to sell online, I expect our sales to jump substantially." In addition to designing and developing the eCommerce website for Wonder Book and Video, Port City Web also hosts the Wonderbook website, performs regular maintenance and markets the site on Google in conjunction with Wonder Book's in-house marketing team. "Port City Web will be developing .Net applications to move product and order data back and forth between the Wonder Book eCommerce website and Baker & Taylor," noted Erik Crago, President & CEO of Port City Web. "The user experience in this is crucial, as well as Wonder Book's fulfillment and distribution end of this process. We are developing a set of custom applications to process data every 30 minutes with Baker & Taylor. The customer will never leave the Wonder Book website, and will be able to check on the status of their order immediately, and will find shipping information once it is available -- all integrated on the Wonder Book website," said Crago. "Wonder Book's distribution team will never have to manually process an order with Baker & Taylor -- we will automate the entire process," noted Crago.

About Wonder Book and Video

Since 1980 it has always been about the books. ALL kinds of books from 95 cent children's paperbacks to five figure rare and collectibles. Wonder Book's retail stores have always been places where a reader can rush in looking for a title needed for a term paper that is due the next day, or where bibliophiles can get lost "in the stacks" for as long as they wish. Through our retail stores and now the internet, Wonder Book has been recycling millions of books since 1980 by finding previously owned titles a brand new home. In 2000 we launched our "Books by the Foot" service where Interior Designers can purchase Decorator Books of all shapes, sizes, and colors in bulk. In 2002 USAToday recognized Wonder Book and Video as "1 of 10 Great Old Bookstores," and we have been featured in numerous other newspaper and TV stories.
