Portfolio Recovery Associates Increases Bank Credit Line to $340 Million

Borrowing Terms Consistent With Existing Facility

NORFOLK, VA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2008) - Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRAA), a company that purchases and manages portfolios of defaulted consumer receivables and provides a broad range of accounts receivable management services, announced today that it has expanded its bank credit line to $340 million.

This represents an increase of $70 million from the Company's existing $270 million bank line. The expanded line has borrowing terms consistent with the existing facility and includes a refreshed three-year expiration.
