Portugal. NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 15, 2014) - Atlantic recording group Portugal. The Man has announced a major run of live dates, including headline shows and high profile festival appearances. The dates begin May 10th with Atlanta's Shaky Knees Music Fest and then continue through mid-June (see itinerary below). Other tour highlights include summer festivals the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama (May 18th) and Dover, Delaware's Firefly Music Festival (June 20th). The upcoming tour sees Portugal. The Man continuing to celebrate its latest release, 2013's "EVIL FRIENDS." Produced by five-time GRAMMY® Award winner Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, The Black Keys, Sparklehorse), the album includes the hit singles "Purple Yellow Red and Blue" and "Modern Jesus," the latter of which is currently ascending the top 30 at Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide. The track's companion video -- directed by filmmaker AG Rojas (Jack White, Spiritualized) -- is streaming now at P.TM's official YouTube channel, Today Consequence of Sound revealed a remix of "Modern Jesus" by Atlantic label mate Charli XCX. The remix, which can be found here:, follows remixes of the track by Mike D of Beastie Boys and Thom Green of Alt-J.

Portugal. The Man has spent much of the past year on tour supporting "EVIL FRIENDS." The band -- currently traveling Australia and New Zealand as part of the annual Big Day Out festival extravaganza -- continues to draw rave reviews wherever they go, with Rolling Stone's Gavin Edwards recently naming them the "Trippiest Act" at Los Angeles' annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, further praising them for "blend(ing) a steady dance groove, falsetto vocals and psychedelic freakouts."
