Postal Connections Acquired by Partnership Formed by Company's Management

Former Mail Boxes Etc. Executives Purchase Postal Connections, a Rapidly Growing Franchisor of Retail Postal and Business Services

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 1, 2007 -- Global Business Services Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GBNS)

Postal Connections, a rapidly growing retail network of franchise stores in the retail postal and business services industry, has been acquired from its parent company, Global Business Services, Inc., by a partnership formed by two members of the Postal Connections management team. Both are former executives of Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE).

Recently ranked among the top six franchisors of retail postal and business services by ENTREPRENEUR Magazine, Postal Connections has a nationwide network of 90 locations sold or open in 24 states.

"The growth of the Postal Connections network coast to coast reflects our marketing innovations and the superior value of franchise stores at a reasonable investment," said Fred Morache, Managing Director of Postal Connections. Morache, who served since 2002 as Postal Connections' Operating Officer, and Andy Thompson, also Managing Director of Postal Connections and previously the company's Executive Officer, formed the partnership that acquired Postal Connections. Prior to Postal Connections, Thompson served as Director of MBE University Worldwide during his eight-year tenure there. Previously he owned an MBE store. Morache was MBE Vice President of Marketing Worldwide and served nine years at the franchise company.

"We are very proud of our role in putting people into businesses, fulfilling their entrepreneurial ambitions after a lifetime of working for others," said Morache. "With our decades of experience in the industry, and now as owners and managers of Postal Connections, we are applying our know-how to help individuals fulfill the American Dream of owning their own business."

Postal Connections enjoyed significant growth since Fred Morache and Andy Thompson joined the company five years ago.

"There were 17 Postal Connections franchise locations in 2002, and today our network is approaching 100 nationwide," said Thompson. "We are stronger financially as a result of the sale of the company, with a solid balance sheet, which positions us well for continued expansion."

Postal Connections stores offer packaging, shipping, mail receiving and forwarding, copies, scanning, fax sending and receiving, Internet access, eBay auction support, notary, and other products and services. Unlike many similar stores, Postal Connections stores feature shipping alternatives that give customers choices in prices, delivery times and carriers, instead of selling only one shipper's service. Adding to Postal Connections' capabilities, the company recently established an exclusive arrangement with Toshiba of America Business Systems to provide high-speed copier equipment and innovative software and devices to offer consumers and small businesses a sophisticated document management system through its network of stores.

The company has been franchising stores since 1996. Postal Connections headquarters is located at 1081 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA, telephone 619-294-7550. More information is available at
