Postal Connections Increases 24% in 8 Months Moves Into Alabama, Florida, and Indiana

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 6, 2005 -- Postal Connections of America (PCA), a rapidly growing franchise chain of postal, business and communication services stores, reports the expansion into three new states -- Alabama, Florida, and Indiana. Currently, the franchise network of 94 stores, sold or open, is in 25 states. PCA has added 18 new franchisees, a 24% increase this year, and has had 14 new franchise sales in the past two months. Since January 2002, when current management was put in place, the franchise chain has grown by 276%

PCA's rapid expansion is driven by franchise sales featuring low entry fees and royalties, efficiently designed stores, and operations and marketing assistance based on nearly 20 years experience in the retail shipping and packaging business. PCA stores are designed to quickly and easily bring together customers and service representatives to provide personalized attention with each transaction. The business is targeted to on-the-go customers and small business people who need "back office" assistance. Stores are frequently located in malls and shopping areas where there is ample parking and easy access for taking items into the store for shipping, retrieving mail, making copies or purchasing office and packaging supplies.

"My ambition is to grow into an area franchise and Postal Connections gives me the opportunity to start with a store and expand when I'm ready to own a territory," says Tom Potts of Tampa, FL. Potts, a new PCA franchisee, who formerly worked with IBM Global Services. "I've moved around in my career and wanted to stay here to build a family business," says Potts. "Postal Connections was the right choice. They impressed me with their professionalism, expert knowledge of the business and operational flexibility in their franchise stores," Potts says.

In Alabama, the new franchise owner, G. Bill Coggin, Vestavia Hills, a suburb of Birmingham, is a 12-year Air Force veteran and held positions in a large semiconductor manufacturer and at Carter Wallace a pharmaceutical company. "I was tired of working in big companies and wanted to be my own boss without all the headaches of mergers and downsizing," says Coggin. "Postal Connections was the best choice with a low cost, very efficient business model and management who were straight forward," Coggin adds. "The Birmingham area is a beautiful part of the country and with a Postal Connections Store I can stay here, even walk to work if I decide," says Coggin.

Michael Court, the new PCA franchise owner in Fishers, IN, is a prior owner of an insurance agency and will be opening his Postal Connections store in northwest Indianapolis. "After visiting the Postal Connections stores in western Michigan, I decided this was a good franchise and a good business to be in," says Court. "My nephew and I will be running the business and our location has plenty of small businesses and new households who need our services," adds Court.

PCA stores offer packaging, shipping, mail receiving and forwarding, copies, fax sending and receiving, Internet access, eBay auction support and other products and services. Unlike many similar stores, PCA franchise stores feature shipping alternatives giving customers choices in prices, delivery times and carriers -- UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS and others -- instead of selling only one shipper's service. Postal Connections of America is based in San Diego, and has been franchising stores since 1996. PCA is a subsidiary of Global Business Services, Inc. (OTC: GBNS) headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA.
