VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 16, 2016) - The Potential Apparel Whistler Invitational charity golf tournament returns August 5 through 7, 2016 in Whistler, BC at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Hotel and Golf Course. Hosted by NHL players, Ryan Johansen of the Nashville Predators and Brenden Dillon of the San Jose Sharks, the tournament's proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish® Canada. Last year's event was attended by NHL players Seth Jones, Cam Atkinson and Matt Calvert, as well as over 30 professional athletes and 100 plus golfers and NHL enthusiasts.

"Team Potential Apparel is extremely excited for this year's Whistler Invitational. After a successful first year we are looking to continue our momentum into the second year and provide a one-of-a-kind weekend that people won't forget," exclaims Shane Alexander Golden, COO of Potential Apparel.

"For a second year in a row we will be donating proceeds from the weekend to Make-A-Wish Canada. The work they do to enrich the lives of children is extraordinary and the Potential Apparel Whistler Invitational is proud to support them. We hope to surpass last years' funds raised for the wish-granting organization and make another significant donation," says David Dotan, President and CEO, Potential Apparel.

This extraordinary weekend will feature a variety of unique experiences and events for guests and NHL players to enjoy. The weekend will kick off on Friday, August 5 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler with a cocktail reception including a meet and greet with the players, live auction, and a private whiskey tasting hosted by Legacy Liquor Store (Vancouver's largest privately owned liquor store). The event will be followed by a rare "Roxy on the Road" after party, hosted by Vancouver's longest standing nightclub, The Roxy Cabaret. The after party will feature one of The Roxy's legendary house bands for entertainment and there will be surprises throughout the night.
