Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste Inc. Now Larger and More Modern

Government of Canada Supports Tourism Sector in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean

SAINTE-ROSE-DU-NORD, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 20, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, took the opportunity of today's official inauguration of Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste's new facilities to underscore the federal assistance granted to the enterprise for its modernization project.

"The Government of Canada is committed to supporting enterprises that, like Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste, are taking the necessary measures to provide quality tourism services. This project will play an important part in helping further the economic diversification of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region," said Minister Lebel.

Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste, an important hotel establishment for the revitalization of the Sainte-Rose-du-Nord community, offers comfortable accommodations, an on-site restaurant and meeting rooms, all in a forest setting. Guests are also able to enjoy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities, including snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, hiking and nature discovery and interpretation. The company's project involved the reconstruction of the main pavilion, the development of new common areas and the construction of additional lodging units.

Pourvoirie du Cap au Leste will now be in a position to accommodate a greater number of domestic and foreign tourists, which will benefit the entire tourism sector of the Fjord-du-Saguenay Regional County Municipality (RCM) and strengthen the reputation of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region as a choice year-round destination for visitors.
