Powell to Keynote the Third Congress of the Lebanese Society for Quality and Safety in Health Care

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - August 27, 2015) - Stephen Powell, chief executive officer and president of Synensis, has been named the opening keynote speaker at the upcoming Third Congress of the Lebanese Society for Quality and Safety in Health Care, the company announced today. His keynote address, "Strategies to Improve Patient/Family Partnerships Focused on Patient Safety and Quality," will focus on strategies for achieving zero preventable harm by optimizing patient involvement. The Third Congress is scheduled for September 16-19 in Beirut, Lebanon.

"Zero harm is the ultimate goal for every healthcare organization," said Powell, an international expert on patient safety and a recognized leader in the development of practices, behaviors, and strategies to improve organizational outcomes. Powell will also facilitate a workshop at the event on Saturday, September 19. The workshop, "Creating a Safety Net in Health Care by Engaging Patients and Families," will be co-facilitated with Adeline Saliba, PharmD, from Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Saliba is a recognized expert in medication safety using a human factors approach to safer, patient-centered care.
