Addition of Power Industry Veterans Will Propel Power Distribution Equipment Growth in Key Markets


RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - February 23, 2011) - Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI), a leading provider of mission-critical power distribution equipment for data centers, alternative energy, industrial, and commercial power markets, today announced the addition of Mike Everson as Director of Sales for Modular Data Centers and Government Sales and Michael Cantrell as the new Strategic Accounts Manager for the Gulf Shore Region. Both Everson and Cantrell bring over 15 years of technical sales experience in the power industry to their new positions at PDI. The augmented sales staff is part of PDI's strategic growth plan to increase revenue opportunities within key vertical markets.

In his new position, Everson will report to John Day, Executive Vice President of Sales at PDI. With his years of power quality, conditioning and power distribution panels experience, Everson brings practical engineering knowledge to his new position. Everson started his career at LEA International in Tampa, Florida, as an Applications Engineer. From there, he became their Regional Sales Manager and then VP of Sales, promoting LEA's power quality solutions to various customers ranging from commercial to military. Most recently, Everson held the position of Program Manager for Military Defense Systems for Transtector Systems, a sister company of LEA, where he developed a mobile power distribution panel for the military supporting Satcom terminals and forward operating bases for all branches of the military and for the Top 10 Defense contractors.

As Strategic Accounts Manager for the Gulf Shore Region, Cantrell will spearhead sales initiatives for PDI's Marelco/Onyx product line under the direction of Patrick Boyle, Vice President of Industrial/OEM Sales. Cantrell will focus on selling the innovative products offered by the Marelco and Onyx divisions of PDI in the Petrochemical, Offshore, and Remote Drilling industries. Cantrell will also steer sales revenue growth initiatives for PDI's industrial and OEM solutions in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. He began his career at Arrow Electronics as their Assembly and Modification Manager in Atlanta, Georgia. In the past, he was employed with JACO Electronics, TELCO Intercontinental Corp, and HTI Industries. Cantrell has extensive knowledge in the automotive, electro-mechanical, appliance, and power industries. He established and managed domestic and international National Rep Sales Networks in three of his previous positions. Most recently he was a senior outside technical salesman for Carlton-Bates Company in Springfield, Missouri, where his customer base was primarily power generation and power distribution manufacturers.
