  • "The peaksaver PLUS program is one of our most successful conservation initiatives to date," said John Curcio, Program Manager, Consumer Markets for PowerStream. "This contest has encouraged many customers to sign up for the conservation program, and the free in-home energy check-up will help our customers become more energy efficient."

  • The peaksaver PLUS program was created by the OPA to help reduce the strain on the Ontario electricity system caused by central air conditioners operating at maximum during hot summer days. By activating peaksaver PLUS, air conditioners are cycled on and off to reduce electricity demand across the province.
  • There are currently over 190,000 peaksaver PLUS participants in Ontario with nearly 24,000 in PowerStream's service area alone.
  • PowerStream's WIN with peaksaver PLUS prize sponsors include: Black & Decker, DeWALT, General Electric, Honeywell, Napoleon, Nottawasaga Inn Resort, Panasonic, Sharp, Stanley, and Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre.
