PowerStream Launches 'WIN with peaksaver PLUS(R)' Contest

Up to $15,000 in Energy-Efficient Appliances and Other Prizes Available to Be Won

VAUGHAN, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 15, 2014) - PowerStream has launched a contest where qualifying participants will be eligible to win up to $15,000 in energy-efficient General Electric appliances as well as many other prizes including a high-efficiency furnace, a high definition LED television, a digital camera, power tools, a getaway weekend, a mall shopping spree and lawn/gardening equipment.

The 'WIN with peaksaver PLUS®' contest is running through to the end of 2014 and is open to PowerStream customers who are currently enrolled in the company's peaksaver PLUS conservation program as well as those who enrol during the contest period. Current participants can qualify simply by completing the contest entry form.

There are advantages to entering the contest early. Those who enter sooner rather than later will have more chances to win a prize from the three early bird draws as well as the grand prize package of GE appliances.

Funded by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), the peaksaver PLUS program provides free programmable thermostats and in-home energy displays to customers who have central air conditioning. It was created to help reduce the strain on the Ontario electricity system caused by air conditioners operating at maximum during hot summer days. By activating peaksaver PLUS, central air conditioners are cycled on and off to reduce electricity demand and consumption across the province.
