Pratt & Whitney Canada's World-Class ESP(R) Program Delivers Flexibility for Turboshaft Operators

P&WC announces the appointment of Greg Miller as ESP(R) Program Product Manager-Global Sales


HELI-EXPO, DALLAS, TEXAS--(Marketwire - Feb. 12, 2012) - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) announced today at Helicopter Association International's HELI-EXPO 2012 that it has now enrolled more than 500 of its turboshaft engines in its pay-per-hour Eagle Service™ Plan (ESP® Program). Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).

Whether customers are looking for basic or full coverage, P&WC's flexible service offering addresses all mission profiles including VIP transport, emergency medical services, maritime patrol, search and rescue and utility operations. The ESP® Program offers P&WC engine operators a complete range of OEM engine maintenance coverage options with up to four coverage levels available: Gold, Silver, Gold Lite, and Silver Lite. Coverage includes:

  • parts and shop labour for scheduled engine overhaul/refurbishment and hot section inspection,

  • basic unscheduled engine and Line Replaceable Units/accessory maintenance,

  • required product support improvements at shop visits,

  • rental engine support for covered events,

  • Engine Condition Trend Monitoring

  • and labour allowance for troubleshooting support.

The Silver and Gold programs also include Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) parts, while Gold and Gold Lite programs add coverage for removal and installation labour and freight for engines and engine accessories.

He has previously worked in the airline/cargo industry, in a corporate flight department environment and for a fixed base operator in addition to his eight years with P&WC. "My previous experience has given me clear insights into what customers expect of their OEM," said Miller. "The fact that we have more than 500 turboshaft engines enrolled in our ESP® Program attests to the value it offers our customers."

P&WC has some 3600 engines enrolled in its ESP® Program, making it one of the largest pay-per-hour client groups in the aviation industry.
