Pre-Deal Integration Planning Essential to International Acquisition, Says Allocate Software Plc

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Sept. 2, 2010) - Allocate Software Plc, the leading provider of workforce optimisation and electronic rostering solutions appointed Beyond the Deal to deliver pre-deal integration support and planning in their acquisition of Time Care AB, a leading Swedish-based provider of workforce management software with a strong focus on the healthcare market.

Completed on 15 December 2009, the acquisition of Time Care AB was Allocate Software Plc's first international deal. As part of their work, Beyond the Deal conducted a cultural snapshot survey of both UK and Swedish management teams to understand material differences in values, assumptions and behaviours across integrating entities, and address them as part of post-acquisition business model design and integration.

Ian Bowles, Chief Executive Officer of Allocate Software Plc, commented:

"Beyond the Deal played a significant part in the acquisition process and analysis from their cultural snapshot survey was useful to the entire management team. I would recommend that anyone considering an international acquisition should think about taking similar steps and would not hesitate to recommend Beyond the Deal to other companies."

Carlos Keener, Partner at Beyond the Deal, stated:

"Allocate have a clear, ambitious strategy for growth, and a strong management team who understand that early, structured planning for integration accelerates performance post-close. Their inclusion of the Time Care leadership in this process represents very good practice in business model design, and will improve their ability to quickly take on more acquisitions in the future."
