PrecisionCraft Launches the Next Evolution of Total Home Solution: Helping Clients Move Forward, With Confidence

Continuing to Develop a Process That Guides Its Clients Through the Entire Home Building Process, PrecisionCraft Releases Its New and Improved Approach to Designing and Constructing Log and Timber Frame Homes

MERIDIAN, ID--(Marketwire - August 15, 2008) - PrecisionCraft and its design division, Mountain Architects, Inc. have taken their "Total Home Solution" approach to building log homes and timber frame homes to a whole new level. Thanks to feedback from their clients, PrecisionCraft and Mountain Architects knew exactly what they had to do to ensure a positive home building experience for every client, one without the unexpected turns and surprises common to many custom home building projects. Jim Young, President of PrecisionCraft Log & Timber Homes says, "It became very clear that we had to expand our services and extend our involvement in the home building process. We are not just selling logs and timber. As such, we have redefined our product now as a comprehensive process from conceptual design through completed construction."

With this new three phase, stepped approach to building log homes and timber frame homes, clients kick off the log home building process with a Feasibility Study. Phase 1 of the process answers a client's most critical question, "Is it realistic to move forward with creating the home of my dreams?"

Mountain Architects begins by working with the client to define the general design and budget parameters of their home. "The conceptual design is the first step in the feasibility study," says Gene Ulmer, Managing Director of Mountain Architects, Inc. "A lot of effort goes into the design phase. Timber frame and log homes are custom designed to achieve the look and feel that our clients have in mind. We design mountain style homes using a combination of log, timber, stone, glass and other rustic materials, incorporating unique features that our clients find interesting and appealing," explains Ulmer.

Mountain Architects provides each and every client with a categorized Turnkey Cost Estimate to ensure each home's estimated cost is within budget parameters. With conceptual design drawings and a turnkey cost estimate in hand, clients have the information they need to decide whether or not they can move forward with Phase 2 of the process.

Once a client is happy with their home design and its estimated turnkey cost, Phase 2 of the Total Home Solution process begins: Pre-Construction Planning. Mountain Architects kicks off this step of the process by working with each client and, if appropriate, an interior designer to refine the design. Mountain Architects then creates engineered construction documents and commences our newest service: Builder Bid Administration. Through Builder Bid Administration, Mountain Architects conducts a competitive builder bid process to ensure that the client gets the home built in quality fashion at an optimal cost.

With final construction documents and a quality builder in place, Phase 3 begins: Construction. As with every step in our Total Home Solution, the client controls when they are ready to move forward with bringing their dream home to life.

Next, the selected builder will prepare the foundation and subfloor of the home. During this period of time, PrecisionCraft fabricates the log & timber materials at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Following the completion of fabrication, the log and timber materials are shipped to the client's build site, where PrecisionCraft's own professional crew will install the log & timber structure, ensuring that full accountability rests with PrecisionCraft.

At critical junctures throughout the construction phase, Mountain Architects will conduct a series of on-site inspections. Following each inspection, the client receives a report highlighting their project's progress. These on-site inspections ensure every PrecisionCraft log or timber frame home is built according to plan.

According to Jim Young, "A successful building project is about bringing all of the elements together in a smooth and orderly process to achieve a dream home for our clients. It requires looking at the big picture." Award winning designs, turnkey cost estimating, objective builder selection, the best log & timber materials, on-site log & timber structure installation, construction inspections -- that is the Total Log Home Solution.
