Precyse Technologies Receives Frost & Sullivan 2010 Technology Innovation of the Year Award

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  Precyse Technologies, the industry leader in real-time location and supply-chain visibility solutions based on next-generation active RFID, today announced it has been selected for the Frost & Sullivan 2010 Technology Innovation of the Year Award for its N3 asset network standard in the Real-Time Location Systems category.

The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Frost & Sullivan's head analyst for the RFID industry, Neelima Sagar compared market participants and measured performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the RFID industry.

"Issues such as uncertainty regarding standards, high capital costs and system integration problems have been challenging customers looking at implementing Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) technologies," said Sagar. "Precyse Technologies strived to overcome these challenges through the introduction of a bi-directional, wireless asset network technology. The company has successfully addressed challenges like price, wireless security and integration issues by incorporating its wireless standard, N3, into all its product lines," Sager added.

The N3 asset network technology provides a last-mile communication platform connecting assets and personnel to a unified network, enabling asset identification and real-time location. It also provides the transparent implementation of wireless sensors, machine to machine (M2M) and simple user interface functionality. The result is an easy-to-install, highly reliable technology and a cost-effective way for companies to manage assets.

"Our N3 bi-directional asset network technology and the unique Collider location algorithms enables manufacturers to get rid of the RLTS typical dense reader infrastructure and dramatically reduce their costs without sacrificing performance and battery life," said Michael Braiman, Precyse CTO. "We are proud to receive this acknowledgement from one of the prominent industry research organizations and are working hard to continue maintaining Precyse's leadership at the spearhead of innovation."
