PredatorWatch Announces Auditor V4.0 - The World's First Clientless Vulnerability Quarantine System

Patented System Fills in the Gaps Between All Traffic-Based Countermeasures Including Firewalls/VPNS, IDS, IPS and Smart Switches to Proactively Block Ports and Problems, Not People and Productivity

NORTH CHELMSFORD, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 6, 2005 -- PredatorWatch Inc. announces significant enhancements to its Auditor line of proactive network security appliances with the release of version 4.0. The patented clientless Vulnerability Quarantine System (VQS) now enables compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. It also includes smart switch integration, a workflow engine and enhanced reporting. Combined, these and other new features enable customers to proactively strengthen their networks from the core to the edge.

"Auditor 4.0 provides significantly higher value at a fraction of the cost of competitors' solutions," said Nick Durbin, network manager at Endeca, the leading provider of Guided Navigation®, Search and Analysis solutions. "Auditor's VQS complements our firewall and IDS to enable more proactive quarantine, patching and preventative maintenance of our hosting facility and internal network without installing or managing new client software. Its reporting capabilities help our senior executives track progress of the most critical security initiatives affecting our business."

In related news, PredatorWatch today announced that it has been selected by Juniper Networks as a Preferred member of the J-Partner Security Alliance Program. "Juniper resellers now have the opportunity to sell Auditor 4.0 in conjunction with the Juniper Networks Firewall/IPSec VPN security devices to automatically detect and quarantine systems that contain Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)," said Tony Scarfo, vice president of channel partner relations, Juniper Networks, Inc.

"We're pleased to announce this breakthrough release of Auditor and its tight integration with Juniper Networks security devices. We believe and our customers confirm that our new, patented Vulnerability Quarantine System (VQS) is an evolutionary approach to proactive network security and assurance," said Gary Miliefsky, president and CEO of PredatorWatch.

According to recently published Gartner research, "Because of worms and other threats, you can no longer leave your networks open to unscreened devices and users. By year-end 2007, 80 percent of enterprises will have implemented network access control policies and procedures. To maintain the availability and integrity of the IT infrastructure in the face of a rapidly changing threat environment, you must implement a network access control process."(1)

New Features

Patented VQS with Firewall and Smart Switch Integration

PredatorWatch's patent-pending clientless VQS digs deeper into the core of the network with smart switch integration. The integration of Auditor 4.0 with Cisco's Catalyst 2950 and 2995 intelligent switches enables IT managers to restrict access to network resources through granular port-level access control.

Enhanced IT Governance and Regulatory Compliance Reporting

New IT Governance and Regulatory Compliance gap analysis reporting for administrators, managers and executives now includes DoD, GLBA, HIPAA, CFR21-FDA-11, Sarbanes Oxley and The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, a collaboration between Visa and MasterCard (and endorsed by American Express and Diners Club). Auditor 4.0 offers a low-cost, rapid means of self-assessment for compliance with the vulnerability management component of the PCI standard.

Workflow Management

Auditor 4.0 optimizes vulnerability management by managing remediation workflow through ticketing, scheduling and alerting functionalities. The new workflow engine enables IT managers to assign jobs and track them through phases of being open, in process, ready to confirm and closed.

Additional Features

-- Enhanced User Management
-- New Audit Wizard
-- One Click Audit Capability
-- False Positive Reduction and Tagging
-- Powerful Reports Database & Query
-- Enhanced CVE® Subscription Service and Soft Updates

Auditor 4.0 will be generally available on June 15, 2005, on the complete line of Auditor products. For more information, call (978) 251-0823, e-mail or visit
