President Clinton to Host Inaugural Meeting of "CGI U" at Tulane University

CGI U Will Mobilize Hundreds of College Students to Take Action on Pressing Global Issues

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 4, 2008) - Former President Clinton will host CGI U, a new project of the Clinton Global Initiative that will engage college students to make commitments to tackle global issues with practical, innovative solutions. The inaugural meeting of CGI U will take place at Tulane University, in New Orleans, from March 14-16, 2008.

CGI U will convene more than 600 college students, university presidents and administrators, leading nonprofit organizations, social entrepreneurs, and youth leaders to discuss how student activists can make a difference around the world. Other attendees will include New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, Brad Pitt, Laurie David, James Carville, Lauren Bush, Dave Eggers, and New Orleans Recovery Chief Dr. Ed Blakely.
