Press Conference Scheduled August 22 at New Stanford Stadium

Media to Preview Stadium and Sample new Concessions

STANFORD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 21, 2006 --

What:   New Stanford Stadium Preview and Concession Sampling
        Bay Area media will have an opportunity to preview the new
        Stanford Stadium and sample some of the new menu offerings
        prior to the Grand Opening celebration scheduled for September 16.
        Stanford Athletics officials will update media on the new Stanford
        Stadium project, including ticket sales progress, new amenities
        and Grand Opening festivities.

When:   Tuesday, August 22, 2006
        1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Who:    Press conference speakers include:
        --  Robert Bowlsby, The Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics
        --  Bill Walsh, Hall of Fame football coach and Special Assistant
            to the Director of Athletics

Where:  The New Stanford Stadium (Convene at Gate #4 entrance)
        Parking is available in Lot H located adjacent to Gate #4 on
        Nelson Road

RSVP:   Participants will be entering an active construction site;
        appropriate clothing and hard-hat are required. To participate,
