Prestigous Ship USS CARNEY (DDG 64) to Dock at Penn's Landing for Holiday Weekend

First Port Visit Since Return From Deployment

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) -

ARRIVES:    June 30 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

TOURS:      Tuesday, July 1 THROUGH Saturday, July 5
            10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

DEPARTS:    July 6 before 12 noon.

WHERE:      Penn's Landing at the Delaware River
            Market Street to Chestnut Street at the Delaware River
            Philadelphia, PA

WHAT:       The USS CARNEY, with a homeport Mayport, Florida, will make
            its first port visit to Philadelphia at Penn's Landing since
            its return from a 22 month deployment. The vessel will be
            docked at Penn's Landing from June 30 to July 6. The public
            will have a chance to tour the naval vessel July 1 - 5 from
            10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

BACKGROUND: The USS CARNEY holds 23 officers, 24 Chief Petty Officers and
            291 enlisted crewmembers. The Commanding Officer, Glen Kuffel,
            explains his crew's excitement and enthusiasm to visit
            America's birthplace on America's birthday.
