Prestipino, Steer Join Envista Top Management

Long-Time Industry Executives Bring New Innovation and Vision to Advance Business Growth and Profitability

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwire - November 30, 2010) - Envista Corporation, the world's leading provider of map-based coordination for smarter, safer streets, today announced that Mark Prestipino has joined Envista as Chief Executive Officer, and Brad Steer has joined Envista's top management team as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Prestipino, a veteran of the software industry, brings more than 28 years of management experience to Envista where he now leads the Company's strategic direction and business operations. With a 20-plus year track record of sales and marketing success, Steer adds a wealth of high-technology management experience to the executive team, where he is developing new markets and expanding business opportunities for the Company's growing portfolio of web solutions. They join industry veterans Rick Fiery, President & Co-Founder and Marc Fagan, Executive VP, Product Management.

Prior to joining Envista, Prestipino was entrepreneur-in-residence at Borealis Ventures where, as a member of the Borealis investment team, he evaluated new investment opportunities and facilitated the development of new start-up company ideas in the software space. Previously, as President and CEO of Scribe Software, Prestipino demonstrated his executive skills by mounting a successful turnaround and growth plan for the company, which led to its eventual sale. Earlier senior management positions include Director of Worldwide IT Operations for Autodesk and Director Worldwide Operations for Softdesk. Prestipino holds a BS in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and is active on a number of industry and charitable boards.

Steer brings more than two decades of senior-level management experience to the Envista team. Most recently, Steer was Vice President of Public Safety Services/Sales for Rave Mobile Safety. Prior positions include Senior Vice President of Sales for TeleAtlas, where he drove impressive growth, culminating in a $4.5 billion acquisition by navigation industry leader TomTom. As Regional Vice President of Sales for the Northeast Business Services Group at Sprint/Nextel, Steer was awarded its highest recognition for excellence, the Diamond Award. Steer holds a BA/BS in Economics and Business from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and is GE Six Sigma Certified. In addition, he serves on several charitable boards and was WalkAmerica Boston Chair for two years, helping to more than double donations to that charitable event.
