Prime Focus Provides Post Production for 4K Reality Series in 60P

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2015) - Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), the technology subsidiary of Prime Focus, the world's largest media services powerhouse, has partnered with the TV production company True Entertainment to deliver post-production services for its popular reality series "Too Cute" in 4K at 60P. This show will be aired on Discovery's Animal Planet channel.

"Too Cute," produced by True Entertainment, is managed by PFT's online editor David Gauff, who is known for his work on PBS' American Experience, Nature and POV. Prime Focus used a special beta version of Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve software to conform and grade the show in 4K at 60P. The four 22 minute episodes were delivered late in December last year.

"We are very pleased to have partnered with Discovery Communications and True Entertainment on this new endeavor," said Patrick Macdonald-King, President, PFT North America. "Our goal, first and foremost, is to drive innovation in today's media industry. 4K has been the talk of the town and the trend is catching up. The world is all set to experience a shift from HD video to 4K and we are only happy to help make this a reality for TV."

This new agreement is announced on the heels of PFT's recent agreements with FX Networks and Crown Media Family Networks, in which PFT will deliver the cloud-enabled DAX production workflow solutions for both networks.
