Prime Volleyball Club of Orange County to Make Its Home at Ladera Sports Center

Club Looks Forward to Training in "First-Class Facility"

LADERA RANCH, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2016) - Ladera Sports Center is pleased to announce that Prime Volleyball Club will make its home at the $35 million, solar-powered multi-use facility currently under construction in Ladera Ranch, Calif.

"At Prime Volleyball Club, we are very lucky to have world-class coaches and leadership with Olympic Games experience and Olympic-caliber training for our young athletes," said Prime Volleyball Club Director Jessica Papell. "We've had teams qualify for the Junior National Championships each season and we want to continue to develop our teams and athletes to be great competitors. The biggest thing we were missing is a first class facility to train in so we are thrilled to now be a part of the Ladera Sports Center to provide an outstanding experience for our athletes and families."

Ladera Sports Center, which is being built on approximately four acres on Terrace Road near the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Antonio Parkway in Southern California's Ladera Ranch, is nearly 60 percent complete and will hold a grand opening celebration this summer. Several South Orange County clubs -- including Team Nikos Basketball Academy, Ladera Ranch National Junior Basketball, the San Clemente Volleyball Club, Little Rookies Youth Sports and Ladera Ranch Strength and Conditioning -- have already signed on. Currently, the only open training times available during the week are from 3-4 pm and 9-11pm.

"We are thrilled that Prime Volleyball Club's athletes will be training at Ladera Sports Center," said H. Michael Schwartz, CEO of SmartStop Asset Management, Inc., who designed, financed and is building the facility. "One of our main goals was to build one of the most technologically advanced sports facilities in all of California. The center's video recording and display technology will help accelerate the learning process for all athletes."

Ladera Sports Center will feature a 60,000-square-foot gymnasium with 48,750 square feet of court spaces -- eight state-of-the-art basketball and volleyball courts -- that have air-conditioning, noise decibel reduction systems, superior wood flooring and ceiling-mounted volleyball nets with ample spectator seats per court.

"Our constant goal is to provide athletes with the very best volleyball training environment available along with a fun, positive experience for young athletes that fuels their passion for the sport of volleyball," said Papell. "Having a strength and conditioning center, rooms to study and get homework done and a café offering healthy meals and snacks provides our Prime families and athletes with everything they could possibly need."

Located in Newport Beach and Irvine, Prime Volleyball Club hosts teams for girls ages 8 to 18. The club's mission is to provide athletes with high-level technical skills training and tactical instruction in a positive learning environment that fosters personal growth and development and a passion for the game of volleyball.
