Prince George rally in support of teachers and free collective bargaining

PRINCE GEORGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 5, 2012) - CUPE members in Prince George, and across the province, stand in full support and solidarity with their brothers and sisters in the BCTF, and tomorrow both CUPE members and community members will take part in a rally to show their support for the BCTF.

26,000 CUPE members across the province work with teachers every day, including bus drivers, clerical staff, custodians, trades workers as well as education assistants.

WHERE: Participants will meet on Fifth Avenue downtown in front of Shirley Bond's office.

This rally is being held in conjunction with a protest that CUPE is organizing in Victoria in front of the Legislature.
