LARGO, MD--(Marketwired - Jul 2, 2015) - The Prince George's County Government Office of Central Services Supplier Development & Diversity Division (SDDD) has contracted with MGT of America, Inc. to conduct a disparity study to measure the success of the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and County Based Business (CBB) programs in Prince George's County. The ultimate goal is to provide fair opportunities for all County firms. More information is available at

Businesses that have worked with or attempted to work with Prince George's County are invited to attend a public hearing to share their experiences. This input could be used to shape and improve programs for MBE and CBB firms, potentially increasing their opportunities to do business with the County.

The public hearing will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. - 12 Noon at 1801 McCormick Drive, Suite 140, Largo, MD, 20774. Immediately following the hearing, County partners will discuss upcoming contract opportunities from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

"We look forward to hearing from local, small and minority (minority includes African, Asian, Hispanic and Native Americans as well as Aleuts, Eskimos, Women and/or Veterans, to include Service Disabled Veteran) businesses about their experiences with Prince George's County, so we can make any necessary changes to our programs or procurement process to make it easier for them to work with us," said Sharon Moore Jackson, Acting Executive Director of SDDD's Office of Central Services. "This input is extremely valuable to the disparity study, as it can help increase opportunities for all minority businesses to work with the County."

MGT of America, Inc., a national leader in disparity research, will lead the study, gathering anecdotal testimony of businesses' experiences and assessing any potential marketplace discrimination against MBE and CBB firms.
