Private Healthcare Systems Network Renews Its Relationship With Christ Hospital

WALTHAM, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 26, 2005 -- Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), the nation's leading health care cost management company, today announced it has renewed its relationship with Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. The facility has participated in the PHCS Network since 1992.

Founded in 1872, Christ Hospital is a general acute care facility dedicated to meeting the medical needs of the Jersey City community. Christ Hospital has more than 400 beds for its surgical, medical, pediatric, obstetric, psychiatric and critical care wards. The facility offers a full complement of medical services, including emergency medicine, obstetrics, surgical services and cardiac care. In addition to being the regional oncology center for Hudson County, Christ Hospital is the area's only facility to offer IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) and BAT (B-Mode Acquisition and Targeting) therapies. The hospital also operates a 21-bed subacute care unit, the first of its kind in the county.

Christ Hospital also has a comprehensive home care agency, a behavioral health center, and one of the oldest diploma schools of nursing in the country.
