Pro Image Installers Select Ipswitch WS_FTP to Replace Email for File Transfers to Increase Performance and Efficiency

Ipswitch Ensures Pro Image's Retail Design Concepts Remain Secure Throughout Project Lifecycle With Innovative File Transfer Technology Including Advanced Security and Search Functionality

LEXINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 18, 2006 -- Ipswitch, Inc., a leading developer of network management, messaging and file transfer solutions, today announced that Pro Image Installers has selected Ipswitch WS_FTP Server to increase performance and efficiency when sharing design concepts. Pro Image Installers is a Florida-based designer and installer of customized merchandise displays for well-known retail leaders such as Wal-Mart, Office Depot and Federated Department Stores, Inc.

Pro Image Installers now uses Ipswitch's WS_FTP Server file transfer solution to handle the constantly expanding size of customer graphic renderings and photos in a secure and efficient manner during fast-track graphics repair, fixture rollout and remodeling projects. With multiple retail projects being developed simultaneously throughout the country, Pro Image looked for a solution that was scalable, efficient and secure to ensure confidential files were safe during transfer.

"Prior to purchasing WS_FTP, the constantly expanding size of email attachments was taking a large toll on the email server," said Guy Conti, IT director, Pro Image. "The logjam was on both ends with email. The pictures and renderings get into the 20-30 MB range which affects the productivity of the entire company. We needed a better solution."

Ipswitch's WS_FTP file transfer solution is the industry's most advanced file transfer product and is the de facto standard with over 40 million users worldwide. The robust software contains advanced features, including industry-leading integration with desktop search technologies, backup capabilities, enhanced folder synchronization, best in class SHA512 file integrity checking and 256-bit AES encryption for compliance applications and security-conscious users. Small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), like Pro Image, rely on Ipswitch's security features to ensure that files remain safe during transfer. Each user is locked in their own directory structure and therefore can't see what another user is doing, ensuring every customer's privacy. Pro Image also uses the email notification feature for "Failed Login" and "Quota Exceeded" as a security measure.

"As the volume and complexity of graphic files and renderings continues to accelerate, optimizing transfer performance and security have become key strategic initiatives in organizations like Pro Image who recognize the bottom-line benefits of effectively managing multiple customer files and folders throughout the lifecycle of a project," said Hugh Garber, product marketing manager at Ipswich. "By offering bullet proof features across the solution, our product is quickly deployed and easily maintained, while delivering a rapid time-to-value that is unique to Ipswitch."
