Pro-Or Upgrading to Industrial Scale Operation for PGM Production: Company to Convert Saint-Augustin, Quebec Pilot Plant to Industrial-Scale Facility, Phase 3

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 7, 2006) - Ressources Miniere Pro-Or Inc. ("Pro-Or" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:POI) is pleased to announce the start of an important new step toward future production of platinum-group metals (PGM) through its exclusive, innovative, patented technology at its pilot plant in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. This new phase, Phase 3, consists of upgrading Pro-Or's transformation and recovery process for the recovery of PGM from recycled catalytic converters to an industrial operation. This requires process engineering and the addition of feed, operating and processing peripherals that will take the catalytic converter concentrate powder feed through to a finished product.

Phase 1 of the project involved demonstrating the chemical and metallurgical feasibility of the innovative new PGM recovery technology in the laboratory. Phase 2 brought the process to the pilot-plant stage using an appropriately-sized reactor. Further modifications and additional equipment are required to transform the St-Augustin plant into an ongoing PGM recovery operation. The work will be carried out under the supervision of Phytronix Technology of Quebec City, led by Andre L'Heureux, Ing., M.Sc., and will take place over a six-month period.

Pro-Or's PGM recovery process from recycled catalytic converters was recently the subject of an extensive report by US-based ResourceInvestor.com, a mining, drilling and piping industry news website. The article can be accessed on the ResourceInvestor website at http://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp?relid=24812.
