ProactiveNet Expands Monitoring Support for Windows Environments; Extends Capabilities of Existing Systems Management Tools

ProactiveNet's new monitoring capabilities improve the product's ability to provide Global 2000 and leading e-commerce companies with the real-time, end-to-end visibility required to find and fix IT performance problems before they can affect business processes.

Expanding its commitment to the Windows platform, ProactiveNet 6.0 now includes new Microsoft Exchange Monitors, Windows Service Monitors, and Active Directory Monitors. ProactiveNet also upgraded its Windows Event Monitor to support new event types for directory services, DNS server and file replication logs. Linux and Unix platform support has also been enhanced with new monitors for AIX, RedHat Linux and Solaris.

ProactiveNet's improved framework integration monitors build upon the product's Enterprise Adapter strategy. With significantly improved integration support for IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console and HP OpenView Network Node Manager enterprise management system frameworks, customers can leverage and extend their existing enterprise management system investments by seamlessly adding real-time correlation and analysis of SLA and performance data collected from transactions, applications, middleware, systems and network devices. ProactiveNet offers Enterprise Adapters for BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, Gomez Performance Network, IBM Tivoli, Mercury Topaz and NetIQ.

The new monitoring capabilities, available now, ship as part of ProactiveNet 6.0.. Pricing for the new monitors are $1,000 for the Microsoft Exchange Intelliscope monitor and $500 for the Microsoft Active Directory monitor. Pricing of the ProactiveNet solution typically starts at $35,000 and scales based on the type and number of entities monitored. Quantity discounts apply for multiple applications and additional SLA purchases. Adapters for CA, BMC, IBM Tivoli, Mercury Topaz and NetIQ are priced at $600 each. Adapters for Gomez are priced at $5,000 for an unlimited license. ProactiveNet's IBM Tivoli adapter supports Sun Solaris, Linux, HPUX, AIX, and Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 platforms. ProactiveNet's NetIQ adapter supports Microsoft Windows NT/2000 Server and Sun Solaris Server 2.7 and 2.8.
