Probaris Upgrades End-to-End Identity Solution

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 4, 2007 --Probaris, Inc. has released a new version of its end-to-end credentialing solution, Probaris ID™. The new release includes multiple enhancements that are commonly requested by federal agency HSPD-12 Programs.

The Probaris ID product was launched in 2006 to allow government agencies to quickly and easily issue secure credentials and to manage the credential life cycle. Probaris ID is a FIPS 201 compliant system using pre-integrated commercial off the shelf products.

Since the initial launch, Probaris has continued to add functionality to the Probaris ID product. This release includes several of those features that are often requested by agencies, but go beyond the standard FIPS 201 requirements. Key new features available in Probaris ID include 1:N biometric matching and document validation.

The 1:N biometric matching captures the applicant's fingerprint at the Probaris Enrollment Station and then compares the fingerprint to all of the previously captured fingerprints in the system. This biometric matching check is an additional security measure to ensure that the current applicant's fingerprints are not currently in the system or duplicated in the system.

Document validation is used when scanning the two required I-9 documents that the applicant produces during the enrollment step of the credential process. This additional security check verifies the authenticity of the documents.

The Probaris ID™ solution is built on Probaris SP™, which forms the backbone of the solution. Probaris SP provides the key functionality to meet the evolving business requirements and federal regulations including:

-- Industry leading platform for implementation and deployment of secure
    web enabled business processes
-- Easy to customize business processes to allow multiple agencies under
one department to have agency-specific processes for different user
    populations
-- Web-based, audited business processes to gather information from all
    participants
-- Service oriented architecture (SOA) for web services support
-- Event handling and APIs to incorporate external legacy systems
-- Central repository of data and security protocols meet strict privacy
    standards
-- Highly flexible and extensible to allow for easy implementation of
    business processes and systems

Probaris ID is currently being used by federal agencies to comply with the HSPD-12 mandate of 2004. The system's credentials have been tested by the NIST labs and have passed all tests. The solution includes three modules: Probaris Enrollment, Probaris Infrastructure, and Probaris Issuance.

Probaris, Inc. is attending the Smart Cards in Government Conference April 11-12, 2007 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC and will be demonstrating the functionality of Probaris ID. If you are interested in seeing a demonstration of Probaris ID, stop by booth number 39 or call the office to schedule an in-office demonstration.
