Procera Networks Expands Presence in Asia Pacific Region

New Distribution Channels and Regional Offices Position Procera to Leverage Strong APAC Growth Projected by Industry Analysts

LOS GATOS, CA--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) - Procera® Networks Inc. (NYSE Amex: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced its expanded presence in Asia Pacific (APAC) with two new regional offices covering Australia and New Zealand, and in Hong Kong also covering Greater China; as well as three new ProceraPro channel partners in the region.

Benjamin Teh, VP of APAC Sales at Procera, commented, "There are significant opportunities for Intelligent Policy Enforcement (IPE) solutions in the Asia Pacific region right now, and we are adding more feet on the ground. We have the premier product offerings and are well positioned to leverage the projected strong growth for this region."

Infonetics Research predicts in its "Service Provider Deep Packet Inspection Products Outlook," from December 2010, that the APAC region will grow faster than any other region in the coming four years. This will make Asia Pacific the largest market for DPI-based Intelligent Policy Enforcement. Heavy Reading concludes in its "DPI Market Tracker," from February 2011, that APAC already is the second largest market to EMEA for Mobile DPI.

"We are investing to capitalize on this substantial market opportunity," said James Brear, CEO and President of Procera. "Our recent PL8820 and next generation PL10000 product announcements focus on 'good value for money,' which resonates with this market where the mobile subscriber base is growing rapidly. It is clear that Procera is valued and being rewarded for our technology and innovation leadership, such as being the first vendor in our space to support IPv6."

Procera also extends its market reach in the APAC region by signing up three new resellers to the ProceraPro partner program:

  • Pacific Tech in Singapore ( has proven experience in network and communications products,
  • Dynasafe in Taiwan (, who also represent Procera in Mainland China, focuses on telco, financial services and the educational sector, and
  • B & Data Technology in Hong Kong (, who also represents Procera in Mainland China, are experts in mobility, cloud computing and security.

Both Dynasafe and B & Data Technology are also resellers of F5 Networks' products -- see "Procera Partners with F5 Networks in Technology Alliance" from February 14, 2011.
